Planet Asia releases ‘Velour Portraits’

By Carlin Nguyen on January 27th, 2017 | Music

The continuously prolific Fresno emcee, Planet Asia, tirelessly puts in work while cementing his legacy as one of hip hop’s truest.  Ending 2016 with a bang, we saw the release of Egyptian Merchandise, a fly LP with stand-out tracks like Breathtaking and Chocolate Milk, both of which include visuals.

The tone is set for 2017 with the release of the, potent, Sonny Vintage produced Velour Portraits EP.  Sonny creates a consistently raw canvas for the GCM General to paint portraits of word play through out.  The stand out track, Made It, features #THE WINNERS Hus Kingpin with a tsunami verse, and Rozewood with an incredible chorus which ties the song together to make a true classic.

If releases like this and Tristate’s 3DRX are any indication of product to come from the GCM camp, we can expect them to be one of the top suppliers of DOPE in 2017.
